What you will be doing…
This Admissions Document Coordinator (ADC) reports to the Manager, Admissions Policy and Assessment. The manager reports to the Director, Enrolment & Registrar. This is part of the Enrolment and Student Services portfolio, under the Associate Vice-President, Enrolment and Student Services.
The ADC works to bridge technology and business process, in support of a quality applicant record, and an exemplary applicant service experience.
The ADC is an analytical systems thinker, proficient in the use of multiple technology platforms, including, but not limited to, PeopleSoft, OnBase scanning technologies, the NS Electronic Transcript Hub, our online application service, and multiple self-serve platforms, such as MyNSCC and e-commerce options.
In supporting an evolving service experience, while respecting both our business needs and client privacy, the Admissions Document Coordinator will steward the handling of applicant and student records in a highly confidential and respectful manner; one that understands our clients’ rights and needs, and the College’s responsibility to mitigate risk in its business process. This includes academic records and learning needs documentation, criminal record checks, health records, financial information and other documentation related to the applicant and student experience.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is a diploma or certificate in Business or Office Administration, Communications or Information Technology.
With a diploma you have a minimum of two years of recent experience in providing exceptional service in a client focused environment.
With a certificate you have a minimum of 5 years of recent related occupational experience in admissions and/or registrar related experience.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and Windows 10.
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work
Experience in PeopleSoft and OnBase applications would be considered an asset.
Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset
