What you’ll be doing…

Reporting to the Principal, you will provide advice and support to Ivany Campus employees regarding their employment with the College and support to the Principal on campus matters. Key areas of focus include responding to employee inquiries re: pay and benefits, management of the absence tracking process for the Campus, coordination of required payroll information as well as maintaining up to date employment data in the College’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS) (PeopleSoft).

This role has a dotted line relationship to the Manager, HR Payroll & Benefits for campus operations, payroll and benefits. The ESA also takes functional direction from the HR Lead working in close partnership with the HR Coordinator and HR Lead to provide full service HR support to campus management teams across the College

Minimum qualifications:

  • Human Resources Diploma.

  • The Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation and/or certification through the Canadian Payroll Association (Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and/or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM)) would be considered assets.

Minimum experience:

  • Current knowledge of human resource and payroll practices and an understanding of the implications of collective agreements and employment legislation.

  • Applications are welcome from recent graduates with an HR concentration.

Minimum skills and ability:

  • Experience/knowledge of standard office and administrative procedures.

  • High degree of computer literacy in the Windows environment and experience in the complete suite of MS Office applications (or equivalent).

  • Experience managing and using Human Resource Information System (HRIS) databases.

  • PeopleSoft experience will be considered an asset.

  • Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and process excellence.

  • Known to take initiative and are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have been recognized for your professionalism, superb interpersonal and problem solving skills and for your excellent customer service.
