What you will be doing…
In providing administrative support to the office of the Principal, Akerley and the Institute Technology Campuses, your responsibilities will include: organizing meetings and events directly involving the Principal; managing the Principal’s calendar; record keeping; compiling data; working on special projects; preparing reports and statistics; supporting other administrative assistants as appropriate; and other related administrative duties as required.
In representing the Principal’s Office, you will also maintain professional and appropriate relationships with, and provide communication and information to other members of the internal and external college community. This will include liaising with the offices of the President, Deans and other internal departments, students, staff, faculty, community stakeholders, industry partners and government officials.

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of recent and relevant occupational experience is required for this position.
You have a clear understanding of the principles of confidentiality and adhere to them in your work
Minimum skills and ability:
You have superb information management, client service, communication and organizational skills
You have a high level of proficiency in the Windows environment, which encompasses the full suite of MS Office 365 Software Products
As a team player, you have a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence
You are known for taking initiative and demonstrating excellent problem solving skills
You are highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
You will be available to work flexible hours. Travel between campuses will be required
HR experience would be an asset
Experience using PeopleSoft and SharePoint would be an asset
