In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills either: while working as part of a Project Team engaged in the development of new products or providing technical support for Nautel products.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Construction, testing and evaluation of circuits, sub-assemblies and systems;

  • Preparation and validation of schematics, parts lists, wiring route sheets, test plans, and all product design documentation;

  • Design and selection of system level and sub-system level components

  • Assistance to Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Production Departments;

Qualifications and skills desired:

  • Electronic Technologist qualification (NSCC or equivalent);

  • Previous experience in a development environment would be an asset;

  • Knowledge of RF, analogue and digital circuits as well as equipment ventilation and cooling;

  • Effective at troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems, including use of related test equipment;

  • Understanding of software development would be an asset;

  • Use of computer programs such as schematic drawing, mechanical drawing, electronic circuit analysis and/or Labview would be an asset;

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as effective communication skills;

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team; as well as independently.

The ability to obtain, and maintain, Controlled Goods clearance (as outlined in Section 15 of Canada’s Controlled Goods Regulations) may be a requirement of this role, as may other security clearances Interested applicants should submit their covering letter, transcript and resume.
