Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser
Well established, locally owned and operated, Value Vending Services Ltd., seeks a Full-time Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser to ensure the quality and quantity of merchandise in our strategically placed vending machines is maintained at all times, as it is representative of our brand. The ideal candidate works in a clean, professional, and efficient manner at all times to support the Owner / Manager and the rest of team to ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser is responsible for:
MERCHANDISING [85%] Load and unload delivery vehicle of merchandise for vending machine route Use company vehicle to efficiently and safely deliver and pick up merchandise on route Replace and restock merchandise in vending machines Set up new vending machines, when necessary Relocate existing vending machines, when necessary Access sales report data from vending machines and bring back to head office Collect, record, and bag cash sales, where and when necessary MAINTENANCE [15%] Clean and ensure vending machines on route are operating properly Report any issues with delivery vehicle and / or vending machines to Owner / Manager Keep delivery vehicle and warehouse clean and organized Other duties as required. (The x% denotes the amount of time that the Receiver spends performing each duty during a typical shift)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
The Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser must know: Basic math to be able to count merchandise and collect, record, and bag cash sales accurately The Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser should be able to: Communicate effectively and professionally with owner / manager, as well as customers, coworkers, and any other stakeholders encountered Plan and implement the most efficient route to replenish vending machines on his or her route Use basic hand tools, such as a screw driver, and follow instruction manuals when required Work independently, follow directions, and be an effective team player

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent Interest in a long-term career in the vending industry Computer skills would be an asset Experience in the vending industry or merchandising would be an asset Bondable Clean Criminal Record Up to date Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
The Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser should demonstrate the following competencies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The typical physical demands of the Vending Route Driver / Merchandiser include:
Strength Requirements
Must be able to lift loads up to and including 30 lbs safely and efficiently using equipment provided, such as a dolly, while noting it is typical that at least a couple locations on a given route will require the ability to lift and maneuver loads up to and including 30 lbs up and down a flight of stairs
Motion Parameters Required to stand for long periods of time while doing repetitive tasks
Work Environment Required to drive and work in all seasons and weather conditions of the year
