Full-time Employment Opportunity Working Foreman/Forewoman

IDL is a new home construction and home improvement company operating in Nova Scotia, serving the HRM and Annapolis Valley. We are currently looking for a Working Foreman / Forewoman (Experienced Carpenter) to join our team. This position is a vital role for IDL and requires an experienced candidate with high attention to detail and quality standards. The candidate must also have a willingness to learn and a desire for professional development.

Start date: December 1, 2016

Compensation: $18-$28 dollars per hour (40+ hours per week) based on experience

Experience: 3-5 years

Looking for experience in:

o Overseeing job sites and managing a crew of multiple carpenters

o Reading building plans and producing buildings to spec

o All aspects of the home in a new build and renovation context. These aspects include: foundations, framing, windows, doors, roofing, interior flooring, and trim is considered an asset.

In this working foreman / forewoman position responsibilities include:

o Keeping job site productivity high

o Forecasting schedules and estimating material usage

o Guiding crew to build project as per plans

o Producing projects independently or as part of a crew as required
