Position Opening at BFM (Halifax) Enterprises Society Assistant Manager

BFM (Halifax) Enterprises Society, (a voluntary non-denominational Christian not-for-profit organization and a member BFM Foundation Canada thrift stores nationwide, converts donated used goods into cash with the purpose to place the Word of God worldwide, in Partnership with Bible League Canada, is looking to hire a fulltime Assistant Manager.

The Assistant Manager is an important member of the Bibles for Missions team, as he or she will assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the store operation, including serving customers by providing merchandise; managing the volunteer program (conducting their orientation, training, placement and scheduling of volunteers); and leading and supervising staff and volunteers in a busy fast paced work environment.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in retail management. Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills, volunteer leadership experience, an asset.
