Exciting opportunities for all positions-FT/PT Chef, Cooks, Dishwashers and Servers/Bartenders needed for an exciting new pub in Fall River Brand new Fall River Pub, opening at the beginning of 2017, is seeking passionate, dedicated, hard working and reliable talent. We are looking to create a fun and friendly working environment, while providing top notch professional service and delicious, freshly made meals. Requirements for all positions: • Mature, highly responsible and efficient • Ability to work well and multitask under pressure in a fast paced environment • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team • Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral • Ensure all company standards are followed • Some heavy lifting - up to 50lbs • Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time • Reliable transportation • WHMIS & First Aid trained or willing to become certified • Must be eligible to work in Canada Chef A true chef must think like a scientist, organize like an accountant, inspire & motivate like a warrior, move like a track star, plate like an artist and cook like Grandma. Qualification & Experience • Previous experience managing a culinary team in a high volume, fast paced environment (Minimum 5 years). Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in stressful situations • Food Safe Certified • Experience with projection and management of inventory, food cost, labour, variable costs, prep charts and other standards. • Proven Leadership Skills - people development and motivation, technical culinary skills training, policy and procedure management, time management, problem solving/decision making. • Self-motivated, passionate, creative, positive, high energy, adaptable, flexible, dependable, organized, positive and outgoing • Proven ability to achieve short and long term business goals with a personal commitment to continuous improvement • Ambassadorship - Complete understanding and belief in company philosophy Key Responsibilities: • To direct and control the culinary operations of the restaurant, while maintaining and abiding by all standards, policies and/or procedures set forth by our company and any applicable government agencies. • To maximize long-term profitability through excellent leadership. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining high morale within your team and executing/driving excellence in food quality, food preparation, cleanliness and the ongoing skills of your crew within the kitchen. • Inventory management • Staff scheduling • Managing and submitting periodic weekly and monthly reports regarding labour cost, food cost and future plans. Cook Qualifications and Attributes: • Culinary trained, minimum 2 years experience in busy kitchen. • Passion for the kitchen and for producing great product every day. • Customer service skills – able to exceed guest expectations. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Must work well within a restaurant team culture. • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong initiative. Responsibilities: • Ensure that meals are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with our recipes, assembly manuals and charts. • Ensure that all products received via delivery meet our specification, that the invoicing is correct in respect to quantity and quality. • Prepare and follow a daily prep sheet to indicate levels on hand and amounts required. • Clean and organize the kitchen at all times. Follow all required checklists and cleaning schedules during and following your shift. • Assure the proper care and maintenance of all food service equipment; identify equipment needs for food preparation and service. • Ensure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation of food products. • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant. • Other duties as required. Dishwasher We are looking for a highly energetic, hard working and dedicated individual who strives in busy atmosphere. This job is hard and physically demanding, but we know that kitchen can’t exist without you. Therefore, a competitive wage and tip out share is put in place. Previous kitchen experience an asset. Duties and responsibilities: • Wash china, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment • Food and other waste handling • Assist with other kitchen duties as required – mopping, food preparation, delivery assistance • Safety conscious Server Do you enjoy meeting new people? Servers are primarily responsible for the service of all beverages and food to guests in a prompt, efficient and above all, friendly and courteous manner. You need to be passionate about great food, drinks and customer service.
Qualifications & Experience: • Previous serving experience of minimum 2 years • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol • Customer service skills – able to exceed guest expectations • Must be Serve Right and Food Safe Level 1 certified or be willing to become certified Responsibilities: • Must make every guest feel special and at home • Must be able to guide guests through the menu, answer questions, make recommendations, and suggest appropriate meals if required • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods • Assist by answering phones to take reservations or to-go orders, and by greeting, seating, and thanking guests • Assist in the training and development of new employees when required • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the restaurant • Collect payments from guests in a timely manner • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems • Check guests identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages • Clean tables or counters after guests have finished dining • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, etc. • Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathrooms • Other duties as required To apply visit: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-bar-food-hospitality-jobs/bedford/all-positions-needed-exciting-new-pub-in-fall-river/1211649950
