Position profileThe SharePoint Software Administrator is part of the SharePoint application portfolio management team in IT at CN. Their main role is to support and help Site administrators from different business units maintain their SharePoint sites based on defined CN governance and Microsoft best practices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot SharePoint related issues/inquiries and follow up with backend support when required
Provide support to customer's analysts and end-users : analyze business needs, document requirements, and design SharePoint technical solutions with customers.
Provide technical guidance on projects involving SharePoint.
Develop concepts and best practices for SharePoint sites and solutions
Participate in the planning, development and execution of SharePoint infrastructure upgrades and migrations
Maintain search services, including defining search scopes
Provide coaching and training to site administrators.
Develop and maintain procedures and documentation
Maintain a clear understanding of CN SharePoint Governance and how it aligns with CN‘s needs and goals
Participate in application portfolio management activities, including Product lifecycle management, cost of ownership,..
Provide daytime and off-hour support (on rotation).

Required Experience & Skills
3+ years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint Administration
Knowledge of SharePoint Taxonomy, Metadata, Content Management, Collaboration, Custom Web Parts, Reports, Search, Master Pages, Content Types, Features, Active Directory
Proven, solid hands-on experience in configuring and customizing Share Point workflows
Ability to gather information and resolve issues independently
Ability to identify, manage, and track progress and escalate issues as needed
Great communication and customer service skills.
Acute Business Analysis skills
Ability to understand and document customer needs from a business perspective.
Ability to quickly understand assignments and work independently
Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical associates through all levels of the organization
Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
Work effectively with peers and supervisor(s)
Bilingual English and French
