Role Profile:

Reporting to the Vice President Finance & CFO (VP), the Executive Assistant (EA) is responsible for providing senior level administrative support to the Finance Department, and as required, to the President & CEO. The EA manages both the VP and Director of Finance’s daily schedule demonstrating sound judgment in decision making to ensure issues are addressed by priority. The EA coordinates information required by the VP and Director such that it is organized and readily available. The EA is the primary point of contact for the VP and Director, and is responsible for communicating with a diverse internal workforce and several external stakeholders.


  • Minimum of five years administrative experience providing support to senior executives

  • Post secondary education in business administration, with a focus in Financial Management

  • Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meeting all deadlines

  • Experience working in a confidential capacity

  • Demonstrated ability in scribing and formatting detailed executive meeting minutes

  • Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, prioritize work, and find solution to various administrative problems

  • Exceptional skills in MS Office and MS Outlook with a focus on MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent organization, prioritization and planning skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and logically both verbally and in writing with employees, and senior executives

  • Ability to develop strong cooperative relationships with employees, clients and customers

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and adapts quickly to change

  • Experience with financial information including financial statements and budgets

  • Experience managing information for Audit Committees and other financial committees

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
