What you’ll be doing…
As part of the School of Health and Human Services faculty team, you will facilitate students’ clinical learning by providing clinical instruction in the Practical Nursing Program and/or Continuing Care Assistant Program on a part-time or casual basis. We are developing a team of qualified candidates for clinical instruction for now and into the future.

Minimum qualifications: • You have a diploma/degree from a recognized school of nursing,
Minimum experience: • A minimum of five years relevant occupational experience in nursing practice, or the recognized equivalencies. Specifically, you bring recent, progressive clinical experience in the fields of Acute Care, Community Nursing, and/or Long-Term Care and you are currently a member of the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia (CRNNS) or College of Licensed Practical Nurses (CLPNNS).
Minimum skills and ability: • You are familiar with the concepts of portfolio education. • You are innovative and committed to life-long learning and community involvement. • Your desire and enthusiasm to teach students with diverse backgrounds and knowledge, along with your superb presentation, interpersonal and team building skills make you an ideal candidate. • As a creative self-starter, you have been recognized for your high energy and your commitment to excellence.
As a condition of employment, Faculty and Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete NSCC’s
Community College Education Diploma Program (CCEDP). CCEDP is a two-year diploma that provides a foundation in adult education principles. CCEDP is a significant investment of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary, full or part-time Faculty and Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete CCEDP within their probationary period. Term full-time Faculty who are employed for twelve or more months are also required to participate in CCEDP.
