What you’ll be doing…

Working in a team environment, you will provide a full range of administrative support services for Facilities Services at the Truro Campus, with an emphasis on providing superior customer service to all clients, including but not limited to students, staff and the public. As front line support, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, providing basic administrative support such as minute taking, filing, booking rooms and meetings, calendar management, as well as general office support as required. Familiarity with PeopleSoft is an asset. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.

You have:

Minimum qualifications: • You have a certificate or a diploma in business or office administration.

Minimum experience: • You have a minimum of two years of recent experience in a challenging office environment or recognized equivalencies. • You have a high level of proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and Outlook), including strong and demonstrable skills in Word, and Excel. • You have proven experience with organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload while meeting deadlines. • You are known for superb communication, information management and client service skills. • You have experience interacting with a diverse stakeholder group; in our case, staff, students and external industry partners. • You have experience with Occupational Health and Safety regulations • You have experience with Megamation maintenance software or equivalent • You have experience with building maintenance or construction related activities

Minimum skills and ability: • You apply sound judgment in your day-to-day work and adhere to strict confidentiality requirements with tact and discretion. • You are creative and able to take initiative and work in a self-directed manner. • Experience using PeopleSoft would be an asset. • Proven organization skills • Experience in scheduling people, projects and events • As a team player, you have been recognized for your strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
