The Opportunity: You will perform a full range of routine and special cleaning duties associated with keeping the Strait Area Campus in a safe and hygienic condition. You may also perform routine painting duties and room rental setups. The hours of work are thirty-five (35) hours per week. Shift work and on call duties as required
Your Credentials: • You have Grade 12 or recognized equivalent (GED), or a willingness to attain Grade 12 or GED during your probationary period. • A minimum of one year’s experience as a cleaner (including the operation of waxing and polishing machines and automatic scrubbers) • Related experience working in one or more of the trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) would be considered an asset. • You possess the ability to perform all physical duties of the job as required for operating and maintaining the campus. • You are familiar with the mixes and various uses of chemicals for cleaning and you either have, or are willing to take, training in WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Emergency Fist Aid. • You have excellent communication and client-focused skills. • As a creative self-starter, you have been recognized for your strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. • You must have a valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License.
Salary Range: $33,231 to $33,873
