About The Job:

We are a family of three private career colleges (Maritime Business College in Dartmouth, Success College in Sackville, and daVinci College in Halifax) and we are presently hiring a College Recruiter for each college to attract and enroll high school students in Nova Scotia. Our colleges offer practical, hands-on career training that can be completed in two years or less.

Title: Campus Recruiter

Primary responsibilities:

  • To represent your college on the fall Atlantic Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers (AARAO Fall Tour) throughout Nova Scotia

  • To visit high schools and make program-relevant presentations to classes and clubs

  • To generate leads (students interested in our programs)

  • To provide relevant information on program features and benefits, admissions requirements, future job prospects, and financial aid to these leads so that they can make an informed decision

  • To promote our competitive advantages, and to motivate these students to enroll at your college

  • To gather all relevant information to complete appropriate enrollment contracts

  • To assist with relocation efforts, if applicable

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is outgoing, confidant, and passionate about the benefits of career training. Ideal qualifications include:

  • A track record of successful sales performance

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma. A business degree or diploma is an asset.

  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. Strong presentation skills are an asset.

  • The ability to be self-directed, and manage your own time

  • Strong administration skills with a proficiency in computer applications such as email, ecalendars, presentations, word processing and spreadsheets

Requirements:

Travel across the province with some overnight stays is required, so ownership of a car is highly beneficial, but is not required. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, but the applicant must have the flexibility to work in the evenings if and as required.

Compensation:

The position pays $31,200 a year, with the opportunity to earn additional commission based on enrollments.
