Position profileThe Supply Manager – Corporate Services is responsible for the cost effective procurement of products and services related to employee transportation and accommodation, credit cards (procurement cards, fuel & miscellaneous fuels card, travel cards), and corporate business services (ex. translation, EFAP, general training, services related to customers such as HR, Operations Training, Treasury, Accounting, etc.). The Supply Manager Corporate Services works very closely with internal customers and vendors to ensure requirements are met and that procurement activity is in compliance with CN's Procurement Policy. In addition, this position is responsible for the management of CN Travel. CN Travel handles all travel reservations and it provides full travel agency services to all employees in adherence to the CN Travel policy. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the activities of the entire procurement process for various business services by working closely with internal customers and external vendors from needs assessment, market and vendors research, , coordination of vendor presentations and negotiation, selection and recommendation for award of business, approval and finally contract formulation and signature.

  • Manage contracts for corporate services and travel.

  • Contract auditing, problem resolution, spend monitoring and control.

  • Proactively look for ways to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.

  • Manage CN Travel in accordance to CN customer requirements.

  • Ensure travel requirements for all CN employees are handled in a professional, efficient and cost effective manner and in compliance with the CN Travel Policy.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree – Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics.

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience (i.e., procurement and contract management)

  • Experience leading and effectively managing direct reports

  • Sound organizational and planning skills with attention to detail

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong facilitator

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and SAP
