Opportunity Place is pleased by the great article written by Ed McHugh that appeared in the Community Herald. It really highlights who we are and what we do.
" There are so many social and psychological dimensions linked to one’s job. The revealing phrase Helping You on the Path to Employment is included in Hudson’s email signature. At any time, but especially in tough times, helping people find a job is important work.
At least 4,000 people have returned to school, started their own businesses or found work after participating in the centre’s activities. Add in the economic and emotional ripples of these success stories, and a lot of positive energy has been created for individuals, families and communities because of the efforts of centre staff. "
